일단은 환경 속에서 책이 무조건 많아야 돼요. 눈높이에. 어떤 프로그램에서 다큐 같은 프로그램에서 봤는데 진짜 똑똑한 친구더라구요. 근데 아버지인가 어머니가 어떻게 그 친구를 책을 많이 읽게 교육했냐면, 도서관에 무조건 데리고 가요. 근데 책을 읽게 만드는 게 아니라 도서관에서 밥 먹고 도서관에서 배드민턴 이런 거 하고 책 읽으라는 소리를 안 해요. 그럼 그냥 돌아와요. 반복하더라고요. 그냥 도서관이 아, 노는 곳이구나.
First of all, their environment must be filled with books. At their eye-level. I saw this on a show, like a documentary, and there was this really smart child. So, how did his parents, either his father or mother, educate that child to read so many books? They would unconditionally take him to the library. But instead of making him read, they'd treat the library as a casual hangout spot, play badminton there, and never once tell him to read a book. Then they'd just go home, repeating this. So the library became a fun place.
