This is the pop-up effect, and here's how to create it in After Effects. You'll need two shots. First, drop the object on the table so it wobbles a little before standing still. And second, a clean plate of just the table. In After Effects, place the object shot on top of the clean plate. Select the Roto Brush and mask the object. Keep your selection as precise as possible. Next, animate the scale. At the first frame, set a keyframe and drop the scale to 0. Move forward a few frames and scale it to 105.
