Almost a decade ago, Google launched Google Talk and it really seemed like they had a head start in the messaging game. But a few years later, everyone from the smallest startup to its biggest corporate competitor has a mobile messaging app and Google doesn't. Today, Google's finally throwing its hat in the ring with a new version of Hangouts, a multi-platform messaging app. We started thinking about the problem, uh, you know, almost seven years ago with Google Talk. Google Talk, uh, was designed to enable, you know, chat within enterprises and, um, and then we realized that there's opportunities in Voice so we released Google Voice.
Közel egy évtizede indult a Google Talk, s úgy tűnt, ők vezetik az üzenetküldést. Pár év múlva már mindenki mobil üzenetküldő appot használt, a Google viszont nem. Ma a Google bedobja a kalapját a ringbe a Hangouts új, többplatformos üzenetküldőjével. Már majdnem hét évvel ezelőtt elkezdtünk gondolkodni ezen a problémán, a Google Talk kapcsán. A Google Talkot arra terveztük, hogy lehetővé tegye a csevegést a vállalatokon belül, aztán rájöttünk, hogy a hangalapú kommunikációban is vannak lehetőségek, így kiadtuk a Google Voice-t.
