In our experience, things don't really ever come to a definite end. When we die, our bodies break down and the stuff they're made of goes back into the earth and air, helping new life form. So in a way, we live on through what happens afterward. But could there be a time when there's no after anymore? Sadly, according to modern physics, that could happen. Time itself might stop. Everything would freeze and there wouldn't be any more new beginnings or recoveries. The end of time would mean the end of all endings. This scary idea wasn't something people thought about before Einstein's Theory of Relativity, which explains gravity in modern science.
