In this recent confrontation, one recurring topic of discussion among many is the diverse regulations governing warfare. Accusations are flying about who violated which rules, leading to the crucial question: does war actually possess any rules at all? And if so, who establishes these rules? What exactly do they state? Today, I've gathered and compiled all this information to share with you all. So, if you're ready, let's dive right in! In reality, the way warfare is conducted today differs significantly from ancient times, where there were very few rules or regulations. Today, engaging in warfare is indeed governed by a multitude of established rules. It's not merely a single guideline, but rather an extensive collection of numerous rules and countless conventions. However, all these provisions ultimately fall under the umbrella of what is known as International Humanitarian Law. This body of law, referred to as International Humanitarian Law or the Law of War, was established because it is acknowledged that humans cannot wholly avoid conflict. Confrontations will inevitably occur, and a complete prohibition would simply be disregarded. Given that wars may occasionally be necessary, these regulations were instituted to address humanitarian rights within such circumstances.
