ESTsoft, a leader in AI services, announced that it had held a presentation for key Japanese municipalities to propose AI Human-based public service solutions, aimed at addressing local challenges through digital transformation.

The presentation was part of KOTRA's "Japanese Municipalities Digital Transformation (DX) Market Entry Strategy" initiative. KOTRA supports the global expansion of GovTech companies to improve public services and digitize administrative processes. The event, held at ESTsoft’s headquarters, welcomed over 10 officials from various Japanese municipalities, including Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward, Yokohama, Okinawa, Nagoya, Kobe, and Shizuoka. The delegation consisted of officials interested in leveraging AI Human solutions to improve senior care and tourism services.

During the event, ESTsoft presented its AI Human technology portfolio, demonstrating how it could address pressing issues in Japan, such as the increasing demand for elderly care and the surge in tourism. Both parties recognized the importance of digital transformation in enhancing public services and agreed that ESTsoft’s AI Human platform, Perso (https://perso.ai), could offer significant benefits across multiple sectors. There was mutual interest in pursuing pilot projects, with continued collaboration expected to follow.

Japanese officials were particularly impressed by ESTsoft's pilot projects at three senior care facilities in Japan. These pilots, conducted in partnership with local firms, featured an AI Human modeled after Japanese actor Makoto Nonomura, providing conversational services to seniors. The project has been in development since June, with commercial rollout planned for next year.

There was also considerable interest in adopting AI Human kiosks. As Japan continues to attract global attention as a tourist destination, many saw AI Human kiosks as an ideal solution to address the rising demand for tourism services.

A survey conducted during the presentation reflected strong enthusiasm for the Perso AI Human platform. On a scale of 1 to 5, attendees rated the potential impact of AI Human in senior care and tourism at 4.6. Feedback included comments such as, “The potential for high usage at train stations,” and, “AI's speed and accuracy make this a highly practical solution,” with many noting its usefulness in everyday life due to its mobile compatibility.

One Japanese municipal official commented, “I was amazed at how many different areas AI Humans could be applied to, beyond what I imagined. The idea of using them for both tourism and senior care is excellent, and it was very impressive to see seniors actually interacting with the AI Human.”

Gye-Poong Byeon, Executive Director at ESTsoft, emphasized, “We believe that the Perso AI Human service can significantly contribute to solving the challenges faced by Japanese municipalities in the areas of senior care and tourism. This presentation, made possible through KOTRA’s global outreach support, was valuable in offering concrete AI solutions and discussing ways to address these issues.” He added, “We will continue to accelerate our global expansion, providing innovative solutions to various societal challenges both domestically and internationally by forming partnerships with local entities.
