If you took one grain of sand, flew it into space, and launched it back down toward Earth at light speed, that much energy would superheat the air in front of it into plasma and disintegrate the grain long before it hits anything. But if you made the grain of sand indestructible and it impacted Earth, that blast would release more force than all of Earth's nukes combined, instantly vaporizing the ocean and shattering the crust apart, and Earth would disappear, all from a single grain of sand.
