रेत के वसिया सहराव में एक तूता और उसका छोटा बच्चा रहते थे। एक दिन उन्हें रेत के टीले पर एक छोटा-स बरफ का पौधा मिला। बच्चे ने खुश होकर कहा, अबू हम उसे पानी देंगे, यह बड़ा दरख्त बन जाएगा। रोज वो दोनों जाकर पानी डालते, गीत गाते और पौधे को सजाते। कुछ दिनों बाद वो पौधा वाकई चमकता हुआ बरफ का दरख्त बन गया। दरख्त पर चमकती बरफ के फूल लग गए जैसे चांदनी जमीन पर उतर आई हो। फिर दोनों तोतों ने उन बरफ के टुकड़ों से एक महल जैसा घर बना लिया। महल बन कर तैयार हुआ तो वो सौरज की रोशनी में हीरों की तरह जगमगा रहा था। बड़ा तोता बाजार गया, खाने के बीज और मीठे फल लाया। दोनों बाप बेटा महल के अंदर बैठे, हंसते-मुस्कुराते खाना खाने लगे। छोटे तोते ने कहा अबू, हमारा घर सबसे खूबसूरत है। बड़ा तूता मुस्कुरा कर बोला, हां बेटा, क्योंकि यह हमने मोहब्बत और मेहनत से बनाया है।
In a vast sandy desert, a parrot and his little one lived. One day, on a sand dune, they found a small ice plant. The little one happily said, "Father, we'll water it, and it will become a big tree!" Every day, they watered, sang, and decorated the plant. Soon, that plant truly became a shining ice tree. The tree grew shining ice flowers, as if moonlight descended upon the earth. Then, the two parrots built a palace-like house from those pieces of ice. When the palace was finished, it was sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight. The father parrot went to the market and brought back seeds and sweet fruits. Both father and son, inside the palace, sat, laughing and smiling, to eat. The little one said, "Father, our home is the most beautiful." The father parrot smiled and said, "Yes, son, we built it with love and hard work."
